As usual, Tove Alexandersson was the big favorite when Norrtälje competed in knockout sprint at the Swedish Championship level for the first time.

The orienteering form means that, like a sprint on cross-country skis, you move on from the heat until six orienteers remain in the final.

Alexandersson made it to the semifinals, but there it literally stopped.

The 18-year-old talent took a different path than Alexandersson and the rest of the leaders.

When they met at a house knot, Lundberg and Alexandersson then ran together.

Alexandersson, who has 10-WC gold on the merit list, fell, and lost some time.

She still ran to catch up with the lead again, but was then sprinted down by Lundberg and Moa Enmark.

Thus, she missed the final.

- I was completely shocked, says Enmark about the crash that she herself was not involved in.

After the finish, Alexandersson took care of his elbow.

- We made different choices and I just had time to think 'now someone will come'.

That's what happens in sprints.

I think it was just as much both's fault, but it's very sad that it needed to explode.

I hope she is okay, says Lundberg about the crash.

- I stood on my feet, but she pulled down.

I tried to get a few words with her, but I'll check with her later.

On the men's side, OK Ravinen's Axel Granqvist won the first Swedish Championship gold in the branch after a dramatic finish where the choice of path decided.

There the silver went to Emil Svensk and the bronze to Gustav Bergman.

The ladies' final remains.
