"I did my homework on public transport"

- As a child, you first did rhythmic gymnastics, but then went to figure skating.

How did it happen?

- Probably, it should have happened.

The main difference between these types is the speed, because on the carpet you will not accelerate as much as on ice.

This is probably the reason.

But, frankly, I don't remember the details.

- Have you ever been kicked out of training?

- Of course, it happened.

They were kicked out for excessive temperament.

Wildly infuriated when something did not work for me.

Everything had to be done at any cost.

From here came childish psychosis.

She broke down several times, and then realized that there was no point in this.

It is necessary to change the style of behavior.

And my mother scolded for this too.

You can't hide your character.

- When you were a child, did you have a desire to quit sports?

- A million times!

With my impulsiveness, I wanted to leave every other day, and then - to stay and defeat everyone.

As a result, I always returned to the ice.

- How did you manage to combine studying at school with training?

- I did my homework on public transport on the way to training and back.

I also remember well how I was fascinated by drawing as a child.

I came home with ready-made lessons, opened a notebook and depicted some dinosaurs.

Everything was in color.

When she brought it to the lesson, the teacher was surprised: "The drawing is cool, but has the topic been learned?"

Nevertheless, until the ninth grade, I received almost one A.

And then it became very difficult to combine activities with sports, and I had to make a choice.

- At school, conflicts often arise between children.

Has your friends ever envied you?

- The world is so arranged that there is always some kind of live competition.

The main thing is not to cross the line of reason.

Anything happened, but I was more friends with the girls.

It turned out to find a common language with everyone, and each in our women's company was strong in her field.

- Have your coaches ever told you to eat less to make it easier for your partner?

- For some reason it seems to everyone that they constantly say that.

Coaches certainly guide if they see excess weight, but I have not had such problems.

She watched everything herself.

Although I'm lying ... It happened once.

They carefully hinted that a couple of kilograms can be thrown off.

But this happened almost at the end of the season.

- How does it feel to dance with boys you don't like at all?

- This has not happened to me.

All were handsome.

- And the discos were refused to the guys who did not know how to dance?

- In fact, I can't remember more than two school discos, since all my free time was occupied by sports.

I had to miss such events.

- Did you fall in love with your partners?

- Sure.

- And how does it feel?

- It didn’t bother me and didn’t help me.

But, as experience shows, a lot of pairs are formed in figure skating.

"Now I am lazy more often than before"

- Name three skaters with whom you take an example or whom you admire?

“I’m afraid I’m not going to approach the young in order to take an example from them.”

They are too cool.

When I started skating, the dance leaders were Angelica Krylova with Oleg Ovsyannikov, Tatyana Navka with Roman Kostomarov and Irina Lobacheva with Ilya Averbukh.

As a child, of course, first of all, I paid attention to girls.

Then I really liked Oksana Grischuk and Evgeny Platov.

They were real trendsetters.

In the future, I already developed my own style and wanted, on the contrary, to become an example for someone.

What's the best dance couple in history?

- I will not name myself.

Difficult to choose.

Over the past ten years, the species has become much younger, plus the rules of the competition have changed.

I started with a different refereeing system.

Each period had its own heroes.

It was interesting for me to follow Natalia Bestemyanova and Andrei Bukin, Marina Klimova and Sergei Ponomarenko, the same Grishchuk and Platov.

And this I call only domestic couples.

Now the heroes are different.

I've always liked Canadians.

I like the Russians.

We will not write off the French either.

But it is difficult to single out one duet.

- Who was your main rival in your career?

- In each period of time they were different.

At the Russian championship - some people, at the European championship - others, and at the World Cup - still others.

But the principle was always the following: "Every day you should become better than yesterday."

I am probably a peaceful warrior.

Figure skating is one of the few sports that is also an art.

I love the audience very much, the presence of the fans is important for me.

Now the World Cup was held with empty stands.

The guys said that it was hard for them.

I can't imagine what I would feel.

The artistic component of figure skating has always fired me up more than the competitive one.

First of all, I wanted to skate as cool as possible for myself and the audience.

And then let the judges evaluate.

- Why did no one do acrobatic lifts before you?

- If you dig a little deeper into history, I think we were still not the first.

But it was Novitsky and I who partly became the trendsetters, since the coaches saw our advantage in this very aspect.

In dancing, a small difference in height was then accepted.

All the dancers were stately tall, like, for example, Kostomarov and Navka.

We had a non-standard duet: Sergey is of medium height, and I am small and agile.

- Who fails more often, partner or partner?

- If we talk about mistakes, then I did not keep statistics, but, probably, equally, because everyone tends to make blots.

When you work in pairs, there can be no question of counting errors.

Here you need to concentrate and support each other.

And even if someone did not do the job perfectly, it is better to support him, because you still have to ride together.

- What should a skater do if his partner is lazy?

- Carry out educational work, and if it doesn't help, change it.

- And you yourself were lazy?

- Not specifically.

Now I am lazy more often than before.

Probably, age affects.

I call this not laziness, but the correct distribution of forces.

Time management.

- How did you feel when you changed your partner?

- Considering that I skated with Sergei Novitsky for ten years, leaving him was a real adventure.

- Which of your programs can you skate, even if you wake up at night?

- It seems that everything (

laughs

).

I was really lucky, because every program I have is my favorite.

Of course, I won't be able to skate everything at night, but if you remember a little, muscle memory will work.

- Have you always liked the costumes in which you had to perform?

- A dress for a girl means a lot, so, of course, it is important that you like it.

Perhaps this has always been the case.

Although there were a lot of uncomfortable ones.

As a creative person, as a child, I myself drew sketches of outfits for myself.

It was a very interesting process.

When they put on some program, I sat down and imagined in what dress I could go out on the ice.

I made sketches, and then brought them and said: "I want something like that."

As a rule, wishes were taken into account.

And when I performed at a high level, even Vyacheslav Zaitsev himself sewed costumes for us.

- How did you cope with the prelaunch excitement?

- This is an experience.

From competition to competition, you learn to control your nervous tension.

In fact, in the moments when you realize that you are able to overcome the fear of appearing in front of the public, even excitement comes.

- Why did you once call yourself a "real witch"?

- I still call myself that.

Probably, it stretches from the free program "Night on Bald Mountain".

I had such an image in the 2008/09 season.

From there it became the custom.

I'll call it a compliment rather than an insult.

- Have you ever enjoyed your popularity?

- To my great regret, I do not know how to use it to this day.

"I would dance in a show with Vanya Urgant"

- What is the most difficult thing in the profession of a coach?

- Difficult question.

Probably routine at work.

Sometimes as a creative person it is difficult for me to repeat the same action many times, although it is necessary in sports.

In this area, it is already difficult to maintain such a pace, since I had to work like this myself for many years.

Now all the time you want something new.

You repeat a hundred times: "Hold your feet", "Hold your hands", "Raise your head."

It's complicated.

But the routine can always be diluted.

For me, the search for an approach to a person is not a difficult process.

This is perhaps the most interesting thing.

- Tamara Moskvina will soon be 80 years old, and she continues to work.

Imagine yourself as a coach at that age?

- Tamara Nikolaevna is a unique person.

I admire people who, in her years, maintain good spirits and clarity of intentions.

Moskvina still transmits knowledge with fire in her eyes and brings up champions.

May God grant her health and patience.

But I hope that I personally will not train until 80, because there are other interesting activities in life.

I would like to comprehend a lot more.

- Could the world championship for those over 40 overshadow the real one?

- Quite.

I didn't think about it, but if I suddenly take part in it, I'll let you know.

- Who of those with whom you have ever skated, owned skates the best?

- I don’t give such assessments, because at the moment my task as a coach is to teach a person something.

And if you start criticizing the ward, he may never cope with the task.

You should always be given the opportunity to show your best qualities, support, see the best side.

- Why do they fall less in ice dancing than in the main types - men's figure skating, women's and doubles?

- But we do not do such jumps, and the chances of falling are less.

But anything can happen, in fact.

- What is it like to fall on the ice with your bare hands and feet?

- It's cold and painful.

It is very important for skaters, like hockey players, to be able to land correctly.

- Can a hockey player become a good skater and vice versa?

- I know examples when girls left figure skating for hockey and achieved good results in it.

Therefore, anything is possible.

If we are talking about the reverse transition, then you need to look at the age.

Again, I saw hockey players who dance so well, as if they were doing it professionally.

- What is the biggest fee you received for performing on the show?

- I don’t remember, because its size is usually standard.

But I can say that the love of the public that you acquire over the years cannot be compared with any fees.

What do I spend my money on?

On your beloved.

Well, for gifts.

- Which non-professional athlete would you dance with on a show if you could choose?

- With Vanya Urgant.

Or with Sergei Lazarev.

Why not with Vyacheslav Chepurchenko?

He is already out of competition.

Lazarev also skates and performed in the "Ice Age".

- If Navka and Dmitry Peskov performed in the Ice Age, what place would they have taken?

- The most honorable - in the panel of judges.

Tatiana is already there, and Dmitry could join her in the near future.

He would fit in as cool as possible.

"I would not compare Zagitova and Medvedeva"

Fdn

- Why are the teams of Eteri Tutberidze and Evgeni Plushenko constantly quarreling?

- It seems to me that this is a temporary historical fact.

I hope that soon the world will be restored and friendship will prevail.

- Why is Elizaveta Tuktamysheva called the empress?

- Because she has a certain charm.

Can you call her crazy?

Yes, if the ice reincarnation requires it.

- Who is better at reincarnating and getting used to the role - Evgeny Medvedev or Alina Zagitova?

- They are different, and each has its own spectrum of characteristic images.

Alina and Eugenia also have different temperaments.

I will say this: it would be interesting to see if one could execute the program of the other.

Otherwise, I would not compare them.

- What do you dislike about figure skating?

- Refereeing.

With the adoption of the new skater rating system, it became less interesting for me to watch the competition.

In my opinion, the former gave more scope to the flight of creativity, although it was considered biased.

- Could a new type of jump ever appear?

- Let's leave the classics alone - five as it is.

But anything is possible.

No wonder they say that the five is not far off.

Who knows, maybe they will invent super-spring push-out skates, and there will be seven, eight.

- Will Alexandra Trusova ever jump five quads in one program?

- Let her do it.

This is my wish.

Poor girls, of course, are under tremendous pressure, but what amazes me is what they do.

- If not figure skating, what would you be doing now?

- I would gather around me large companies and rub them with something interesting.

There are always a lot of people next to me, I like to communicate.
