An official source in the Swimming Federation revealed that the reason for the dismissal of the coach of the national swimming team, the Egyptian Ali Diab, is due to the recommendation of the head of the Emirati delegation in the Egyptian International Championship, Khalifa Al Kaabi, for not achieving the swimmer Yusef Al Matroushi the Olympic qualification number for the Tokyo Championship, especially since the swimmer was training Under the leadership of the Al Wasl club technical staff, and under the supervision of the coach of the national team.
A source within the federation, who preferred not to be named, told "Emirates Today": “The coach's CV revealed that he had never trained national teams before, in contrast to what the national teams committee presented when hiring the coach, and that he has a strong CV. ».
The Swimming Federation had taken a decision to dismiss coach Ali Diab, without revealing the real reason, with the approval of most of the board members, to leave the room for the new board of directors to choose a new coach for the national swimming team after the formation of the board.
The source explained: "The coach's experience was limited to training the Sunni stages only. Therefore, the Board of Directors decided to approve the recommendation made by the head of the mission, Khalifa Al Kaabi, to dismiss the trainer, and to give the new board of directors the opportunity to choose a coach to lead the UAE national swimming team in the coming period."
