At a press conference, Prime Minister Stefan Löfven (S) said that the restriction on a maximum of eight people in the sports audience is being extended due to the serious contagion situation of covid-19.

Enquist says that the football movement is happy to wait with relief until the pandemic situation is better:

- Right now, no one wants to open up so much when they have not managed to stop the infection in all other places, he says.

- But it is not football that spreads infection, but this is where the restrictions have been maintained.

"Stepmother treated"

What he mainly objects to is FHM's proposal on what the reliefs should look like once you open up to the public, that it is about an audience of 100 people in a first position and then 600 people and from there completely full stands in the third phase.

And that football does not succeed in having a dialogue with FHM.

- Not even having a dialogue at relevant levels about what we can do when the spread of infection is lower.

That you have this arrogance from FHM, that you say "we have decided that 100 and 600 are the right levels regardless of event", it is completely incomprehensible, it is the one we are most annoyed about.

That they do not even offer with their elbow after this long time, it is very difficult to understand, says Enquist.

- We think that during this year we have been incredibly stepmotherly treated, it has been nuanced.

Compare with Denmark

Enquist says that football in Denmark, in consultation with authorities and the government, has decided on a completely different approach for opening to the public with between 2,000 and 20,000 spectators, depending on arena capacity.

FHM and the government had hoped to be able to make relief in the audience restrictions, right now there are eight people allowed, already on April 11, but due to the increasing spread of covid-19, it was postponed until May 3.

And now it is being pushed forward further.

The reason is that the spread of infection is still extensive and the burden on intensive care is high.
