The Saudi victory misses the efforts of Argentine Betty Martinez, 6 months, injured

Argentine midfielder Betty Martinez has been absent from the team for a period of 6 months, Al-Nasr Saudi Football Club announced today, Wednesday, following his recent injury.

"After the final examination of Betty Martinez's injury, international surgeon Ramon Cugat decides to perform an operation to install the external collateral ligament of the knee," the club said in an official statement on its Twitter account.

"The player needs treatment and rehabilitation for a period of 6 months," he added.

Martinez suffered an injury in the Al-Nasr and Al-Ahly match, in the 23rd round of the Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Professionals Cup League, which ended with Al-Nasr winning 2-1.

Betty Martinez joined the ranks of the victory during the last summer transfer period, coming from Atlanta United, USA.

Martinez has participated with Al-Nassr since joining in 20 matches, scoring 3 goals and providing 5 assists to his teammates.

Al-Nasr is ranked sixth in the Saudi Professional League table, with 36 points, after playing 25 rounds.

Al-Nasr is currently participating in the group stage matches of the AFC Champions League, which is held in Saudi Arabia by the grouping system, and tied on Tuesday with Foolad Khuzestan, Iran, with a goal to the same.

Al-Nasr raised its score to five points from 3 games, ahead of Foolad's goal difference, while Qatar's Al-Sadd came in third place with four points after its 3-1 victory over Al-Wehdat Al-Jordanian, who is fourth and last with one point.
