The Dutch handball players also lost their second match at the three-country tournament in Croatia on Thursday.

The team of national coach Emmanuel Mayonnade lost 19-25 against Brazil in Porec.

Polman and Broch both made their comeback in the Orange squad against Croatia on Wednesday.

In that first game of the three-country tournament, the reigning world champion lost 24-23.

The 28-year-old Polman was out of circulation for about six months due to a serious knee injury.

Thirty-year-old Broch retired as an international in the summer of 2018, because she was mentally and physically exhausted.

However, she recently made herself available for the Orange again.

Polman and Broch also played against Brazil, but in that game they also could not help the Netherlands to win.

The last meeting between the two countries was at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, where the Orange beat the host country in the quarter-finals.
