Japan has been participating in the tournament held in Finland from 10th this month for the right to participate in this year's world championship, but on 13th it was decided that it would not be able to advance to the semi-finals, and in October I was not able to qualify for the scheduled World Championships.
The right to participate in the wheelchair curling of the Beijing Paralympics is determined by the points according to the results of the world championships for three tournaments including this year, but since Japan has missed the past two world championships, this is the way to go. It has been decided that we will not be able to qualify for the Beijing Paralympics.
It is the third consecutive tournament in Japan that Japan has missed the Paralympic Games in wheelchair curling.
