Two and a half weeks after his serious fall while ski flying in Planica, Slovenia, ski jumper Daniel André Tande was released from hospital in Norway.

The 27-year-old is doing well overall, the Norwegian Ski Association announced on Tuesday.

Rest and relaxation are part of the treatment, which is why he will not give any interviews in the coming weeks, the team doctor of the Norwegian ski jumpers, Guri Ranum Ekås, was quoted in an association statement.

Collarbone fracture and lung injury

Tande hit the slope violently on March 25th in Planica in the trial run.

He suffered a broken collarbone and a slight puncture of the lungs.

In the hospital in the Slovenian capital Ljubljana, he was placed in an artificial coma for several days, from which he woke up at the end of March.
