The Solna team connected the grip early at home at Friends Arena in the Allsvenskan premiere.

After a fine move down the middle Saku Ylätupa nearly gave the home side a goal after 38 minutes. The finishing shot went just wide, though.

Kenyan-Finnish cooperation to 1-0.

The goal was the Finn's first in the Allsvenskan and became the only one in the first half.

"A very good input"

- It was a very good input from Otieno.

I was free at the far end and pushed it in, Ylätupa told Discovery + at half time.

Degerfors' Oliver Ekroth also stated:

- AIK makes it damn tough for us and we play a little too naively and get stuck a lot.

In the second half, Ylätupa stood for a new nice action when he hit the post to Nabil Bahoui who nodded in 2-0 in the 65th minute.

In the next round, AIK will play away against IFK Gothenburg on Monday 19 April.

Degerfors may the day before, on Sunday, try to take new steps at home against Kalmar FF.
