Jang In-hwa, Busan Sports Center, has been appointed as the head of the Republic of Korea athletes for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which will open on July 23rd.



The Korea Sports Association plans to officially announce the appointment of In-hwa Chang at the board of directors meeting for the first time after the new executive team is formed on the 22nd.



In-hwa Jang is an entrepreneur who is the CEO of Dongil Steel, and currently serves as the chairman of the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.



After establishing a relationship with the sports community in 2003 as Vice President of the Busan Athletics Federation, Chairman Jang was elected as President of the Korea Shooting Federation for the Disabled and Senior Vice President of the Korea Disabled Sports Association.



From 2013, he served as the president of the Korea Water Ski-Wakeboard Association and was elected as a director of the Korea Sports Association in 2017, and was elected as the president of the Busan Municipal Sports Council through an election held in December 2019.



An official from the Korean Sports Association expressed their expectation that "The nominee of Chang In-hwa will be of great help in supporting Korean squadrons participating in the Tokyo Olympics as they are well-versed in the domestic sports industry and have abundant financial resources.
