Skellefteå started the quarter-final series against rival Luleå in the best way.

Already after 4.04, Niclas Burström put 1-0 with a back shot, and only 61 seconds later Jesper Frödén increased by 2-0.

Here and there, Luleå had not had a single shot at Gustaf Lindvall in Skellefteå's goal, and most people probably believed in a simple Skellefteå victory.

The receipt was delayed

But just 66 seconds after Frödén's 2-0 goal, Jonas Berglund reduced for Luleå, with the team's first shot on goal.

After that, Luleå took over the game for the rest of the period - without being able to equalize.

The soul acknowledged

But in the end, 7.28 into the third period, came the equalizer.

Back Pontus Själin, who only scored one goal in the entire basic series, threw away a shot that was controlled into a goal via a Skellefteå player, and the match went into extra time.

And the extension became a real islet walk.

Lots of chances were created and there were several expulsions and dangerous subsequent numerical advantages and disadvantages.

Lassinantti played great

But it took a while before the match was decided.

Only in the last minute of the fifth period, shortly after big player Joel Lassinantti saved Jonathan Berggren's free position, did the decision come.

Niclas Burström, who started the goal scorer in the match, splashed away a back shot immediately after the technical.

The puck was controlled on a player in front of Lassinantti, and a jubilant Skellefteå thus has 1-0 in matches.

- Nice that it goes in!

It is an even match that could have gone in any direction in the long run, because we exchanged chances, says Melker Karlsson, who was one of the players who was on the ice at the decision.
