[Explanation] When you turn over the old photos of "ping pong diplomacy" again, the history 50 years ago is also picked up.

Recently, in an exclusive interview with China News Agency, Zheng Minzhi, a witness of "Ping Pong Diplomacy" and a world champion in table tennis, used old photos as clues to recall to reporters the historical moment of "small balls pushing big balls" 50 years ago.

In the past, we started with table tennis. After table tennis took the lead, it broke through exchanges other than table tennis, such as sports (projects), gymnastics, basketball, and volleyball. From sports exchanges, we discussed high-tech, culture and art, and many other aspects. Industrial agriculture, I think we should have diversified exchanges, because the world is a community with a shared future.

This exchange is unstoppable, and I believe the American people are willing to do the same.

[Explanation] On April 10, 1971, the American table tennis team successfully arrived in Beijing, opening the door of exchanges between the two countries that had been dusty for many years.

Prior to this, the 31st World Table Tennis Championships held in Nagoya, Japan from March to April 1971 provided an unexpected opportunity for Sino-US relations to break through the "hard ice".

  (19) In 1971, I knew that it was published in the newspaper later that it was Zhuang Zedong who exchanged gifts with Cohen.

Because we are separated, a special car for the men's team and a special car for the women's team.

Then Zhuang Zedong was in the car (men's team), and it was Cohen who accidentally jumped into that car.

Then I heard about it later, I think this move, I think it was because we had done a lot of education with us before the 31st competition.

He put forward the teaching of "friendship first, competition second".

[Explanation] The year after the US table tennis team visited China, the "ping pong diplomacy" entered the second stage, when the Chinese table tennis team visited the United States.

As one of the Chinese table tennis team members who visited the United States, Zheng Minzhi has been deeply impressed by the scenes after the plane landed in the United States.

After getting off the plane, they were very polite and rigorous. They were very enthusiastic and sincere. They shook hands, "Hello, hello", which is called "welcome" in English. Then these two sentences are used interchangeably, "Welcome, welcome" ".

Then I saw that there were many Chinese-Americans. They were very excited. They all shed tears. He said, "The relatives of the motherland are here, and the relatives of the motherland are here." We didn't see it. I was already infected by this atmosphere.

[Explanation] The first leg of the Chinese table tennis team's visit to the United States came to Detroit, Michigan.

According to Zheng Minzhi, they visited a local car factory in Detroit, and the modern equipment of the American factory also gave her a great shock.

During his stay in the United States, the Chinese table tennis team also visited the White House, Stanford University and other places, and felt the friendship and enthusiasm of the American people everywhere in the process.

There is so much need for communication. The estrangement between our people should be completely lifted. (Communication) is very good, speech impassable, but very enthusiastic.

(Friendly game) After the game, everyone hugged, and the words were not very good, but when they accompanied us all the way, they always held our hands, right, or used a sign language.

[Explanation] Today, people-to-people and cultural exchanges have become one of the three pillars of Sino-US relations.

Recalling the history of "ping-pong diplomacy," Zheng Minzhi also hopes that Sino-US relations will get back on track.

Speaking of "ping-pong diplomacy" now, I think people-to-people diplomacy is the mainstream, and people-to-people diplomacy uses our athletes and the friendship of our people to expand world peace. I think this should be the case.

I think the historical trend cannot be stopped, because the two major countries of China and the United States are influential in the world and should be developed.

[Explanation] Over half a century, Zheng Minzhi's memories of those years have now turned into all kinds of old photos collected at home. Every time I pick up an old photo, there is a friendly story between the Chinese and American people.

"I hope they can be in good health, I hope they are healthy, I still miss our friendship very much," said the old man in front of him.
