Listen to what the contestants say

As the only newly-built ice competition venue for the Beijing Winter Olympics, the National Speed Skating Hall known as the "Ice Ribbon" has become a "net celebrity" building.

With the opening of the "Meet in Beijing" test competition, the "Ice Ribbon", which ushered in an official competition for the first time after completion, has once again become the focus of attention.

Among the five venues participating in the "Meet in Beijing" winter sports ice event test event, the "Ice Ribbon" is the last competition venue to be tested.

During the two-day test competition, the most talked about was undoubtedly the ice surface.

After completing the actual sliding, the athletes who participated in the test competition gave it a high evaluation, among which there are many descriptions of "best".

It is understood that foreign players and coaches are also very concerned about the ice conditions. The stadium team has sent the video of the test match to the relevant ISU technical representatives and received positive feedback.

In this speed skating test activity, the "Ice Ribbon" set up 13 competitions.

According to the schedule, from April 7th to 10th, there will be men's speed skating 500 meters, 1000 meters, 1500 meters, 5000 meters, group pursuits and group start; women's speed skating 500 meters, 1000 meters, 1500 meters, 3000 meters, 5000 Meters, group chases and group start competitions.
