Michael van Gerwen has continued his victory over Peter Wright in the Premier League on Tuesday.

The three-time world champion reached a high level on Wednesday and beat Rob Cross 7-3.

Van Gerwen took the initiative in Milton Keynes with an early break and did not relinquish the lead.

He finished at a high average of 107.56.

His finish percentage was almost 47 percent.

Cross, the 2018 world champion, came in at 97.87 and exactly 50 percent.

The victory is a boost for Van Gerwen, who started the Premier League with a 6-6 draw.

In the run-up to the prestigious tournament for the best players in the world, he was a bit searching;

he has only been throwing new arrows for a few weeks now.

The 31-year-old Van Gerwen is chasing his sixth Premier League title, with which he would equal record holder Phil Taylor.

De Brabander is looking for revenge after last year, when he missed the play-offs for the first time in his career.

Later on Wednesday evening, the matches Glen Durrant-Dimitri Van den Bergh, Peter Wright-Gary Anderson, Nathan Aspinall-James Wade and José de Sousa-Jonny Clayton are on the program in the empty hall in Milton Keynes.
