Real owned the first half and a shaky Liverpool could be happy with the fact that the deficit was only 2-0 at the break.

It was a brand new Liverpool that came out in the second half.

Mohamed Salah got the ball and via both defender, goalkeeper and ribs reduced Liverpool to 2-1.

The incident was VAR-reviewed but Salah was on the right side and canceled the offside.

By then, six minutes had passed of the half.

Liverpool pressed for an equalizer but after a throw-in in the middle of the half, Luka Modric played the ball to Vinícius Júnior who shot straight 3-1 from a position near the penalty spot for Real, his second goal of the match.

It was the first time the 20-year-old scored two goals for Real in a match.

He has played 106 matches.

Mistake by Alexander-Arnold at 2-0

At 2-0, Trent Alexander-Arnold, one of many mistakes from him in the first half, threw himself and nodded the ball, beaten by Toni Kroos, into the field.

Marco Asensio ran into the deep and lightened the ball over the rushing goalkeeper Alisson and hit it into the empty net.

Shortly afterwards, Asensio was close to increasing to 3-0 when Ozan Kabak completely failed with a back pass but the shot from a narrow angle from the right slipped outside.

Real took the lead in the 27th minute.

Just like at 2-0, it was Toni Kroos who saw the situation and served the ball in the deep on the running Vinicius Junior who took the ball through the chest and distinctly put it in goal at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stéfano, the reserve team's arena.
