Manchester City took the lead in the 19th minute.

A sloppy play from Dortmund led to a counterattack by the home side.

After a fine passing game, Kevin De Bruyne was able to put it 1-0.

After just over half an hour, Manchester City received a penalty, which later turned out to be incorrect when VAR ruled it out.

Dortmund later thought they had equalized when Jude Bellingham shot the ball into goal.

But even that was ruled out by VAR after a foul on City goalkeeper Ederson.

Acknowledgment and management goals

The second half was even for a very long time but Dortmund would eventually get a goal there.

In the 84th minute, Marco Reus was able to equalize for the away team, after a fine pass from the Norwegian Erling Haaland.

An important away goal for Dortmund.

But that was not the last goal of the match.

It came in the 90th minute of the match when Phil Foden set the lead goal for the home team.

City now have a small advantage ahead of the return meeting on 14 April.
