The verdict is in.

Lille striker Jonathan David "suffers from a lateral ligament rupture of the right ankle," Losc said on his Twitter account on Monday evening.

Very concretely, "he will be unavailable for several weeks".

The 21-year-old Canadian international had scored the only goal of the now only leader in Ligue 1, Saturday at the Parc des Princes.

But he had to leave in the 35th minute, following a very rough tackle from PSG midfielder Idrissa Gueye.

It is a hard blow for Christophe Galtier's team, as the former player of La Gantoise had gained importance among the Mastiffs, after a first part of the season without biting.
