On Friday, Frölunda finished playing the basic series and today the playoffs were underway.

- It was a playoff match with emotions and nice to be up and running with the playoffs, says Mats Rosseli Olsen to C More after the fair victory.

The guests won the shots, for example, 36-19, which gives an indication of what it looked like at the deserted Hovet.

From the first half of the first period, it was Frölunda's match.

With half a second left of the second period, Stefan Elliott pulled off a wrist shot in powerplay that found its way behind the obscured zoo goalkeeper Mantas Armalis for 2-1, which was a decisive match.

Dream start for Djurgården

Djurgården took the lead after just two minutes when Tom Nilsson struck with a hard distance shot after Dick Axelsson's pass.

The puck slipped in at the far left post.

- It does not happen that often so it was fun to push it there, says Nilsson, who has a past in Frölunda, after the season's second goal.

In the middle of the second period, Frölunda finally got a dividend and after a lot of pressure, Mats Rosseli Olsen steered the puck in goal for 1-1 after a shot from Mattias Norlinder up at blue.

There were many players in front of the obscured zoo keeper Mantas Armalis.

- I tried to hold out the club, I do not think the zoo hill saw anything, and managed to steer it.

It was fun, says the Norwegian.

The last zoo win against Frölunda in a playoff series was 27 years ago

Frölunda has four straight victories in a playoff series against Djurgården that has not won against Gothenburg since 1994. The last time was the final in 2019.

- Frölunda chewed on us a bit hard skating, where we took a beating, and get many turnovers on us.

We did not score any goals in powerplay while they scored goals in theirs.

That was the small difference between the teams, says Djurgården's coach Robert Ohlsson.
