The death of Nikita Sidorov, a player in the Znamya Truda youth team, was the first to be reported by the official Instagram account of the Orekhovo-Zuevsky urban district.
The post says that the tragedy occurred during a match at the Torpedo stadium.
The 18-year-old football player became ill, and he died almost instantly, without waiting for medical help.
According to preliminary data, the cause of death was a cerebral aneurysm.
A little later, information about the tragedy was confirmed by the PFL and Znamya Truda.
In particular, the club reported that the doctor actually named an aneurysm as the cause of death, although there is no official medical report yet.
Condolences to the family and friends of the deceased were expressed by the RFU in its official Twitter account.
Meanwhile, the club reported the details of the incident.
So, according to Mikhail Puzanov, General Director of the Znamya Truda MU GFC, the young footballer came on as a substitute in the second half, played literally five minutes, after which he fell and lost consciousness.
The first aid to Sidorov was provided by a coach and a medical worker who was present at the game.
The young man's father also ran out onto the field and watched the meeting from the rostrum.

The young man played as a defender, and began playing in Znamya Truda in 2015.
From 2016 to 2018, he played for SS Spartak-Orekhovo, and then returned to the previous team.
Last year, the athlete played eight matches in League B of the Moscow Region Championship and received one yellow card.
Recall that last summer, another young footballer of the Moscow Region club, 16-year-old goalkeeper Ivan Zaborovsky, almost died.
