Zamalek causes the resignation of the coach of MCA

According to news reports, Abdelkader Amrani, the coach of Mouloudia Algeria, has resigned from his post due to the team's loss to Egyptian guest Zamalek 0/2 yesterday, Saturday, in the fifth round of Group Four in the African Champions League group stage.

Mouloudia Algeria has not yet commented on this news, which was reported by local media on Sunday.

Amrani was widely criticized after MCA lost to Zamalek, due to the poor performance of the team, which needed one point to qualify for the quarter-finals of the tournament.

Amrani, the new coach of Mouloudia Algeria, was appointed last February to succeed Nabil Nghiz, who separated from the team by mutual consent, but voices raised the need for his dismissal due to the modest results recorded by the team during his reign.

Mouloudia Algeria, under the leadership of Amrani, only achieved one victory in the total of 5 matches in the local league competition, compared to two wins in the African Champions League group stage out of five matches as well.

Mouloudia Algeria is still in the race to qualify for the quarter-finals in the African championship, as a draw in the last match against its pre-qualified Tunisian sports club, Esperance, is sufficient to achieve this goal.
