Jürgen Klopp celebrated an important victory in the Premier League with Liverpool and fired up for Real Madrid.
Thomas Tuchel, on the other hand, suffered a defeat with Chelsea - and what a defeat!
This brought Liverpool closer to Chelsea FC to within two points in the league.
Tuchel first had to digest the fact that his first bankruptcy with Chelsea had become such a severe embarrassment in the Premier League.
"I didn't see that coming," he said on Saturday, visibly confused after the 2: 5 (1: 2) against relegation candidate West Bromwich Albion.
“Everything that could go wrong went wrong after the red card.” After Thiago Silva was sent off, who saw a yellow-red card after 29 minutes for repeated fouls, Chelsea fell apart.
Across all competitions, Tuchel's team had previously not lost 14 games.
In the Premier League, the Blues had not conceded a goal in five home games - now there were five in one day.
“Every shot from them was a goal,” complained the 47-year-old Tuchel, who was only named “Coach of the Month” in the Premier League on Friday, at BT Sport.
"That was clearly not our day today."

But only two minutes later, Silva flew off the field.
That changed the game.
“We couldn't handle the situation,” admitted Tuchel.
"I do not know why."

In stoppage time of the first half, ex-Nuremberg Matheus Pereira (45th + 2 / 45th + 4) turned the game at Stamford Bridge with a double.
After the half-time break Callum Robinson (63.) and Mbaye Diagne (68.) increased for the guests from West Bromwich.
"We were careless and made huge mistakes again and again," complained Tuchel, who described the performance of his decimated team as "atypical".
"We were punished harshly and it's hard to digest."
The quick backlash to Diagnes hit by Mason Mount (71.) - after a presentation by Werner - did not bring the hoped-for momentum and certainly not the turning point.
Shortly before the final whistle, the Blues even had to accept another goal from Robinson (90 + 1).
"An unbelievable day," enthused Robinson at BT Sport.
"Ten men or not, they are of good quality."

The home defeat is a major setback for Chelsea in the fight for the Champions League places, as the Londoners are threatened with being pushed out of fourth place in the course of the 30th matchday.
Local rivals Tottenham Hotspur (Sunday in Newcastle) and West Ham United (Monday in Wolverhampton) could overtake the Blues with away wins.
The table penultimate West Brom was still seven points behind the non-relegation zone after the surprise victory.
Liverpool the superior team
Leaders Manchester City took the next step towards the seventh championship on Saturday.
Three days before the Champions League duel with Borussia Dortmund, the Citizens deservedly won 2-0 (0-0) at Leicester City.
"We're close," said city coach Pep Guardiola afterwards.
His team still needs a maximum of eleven points to perfect the title.
Champion Liverpool recorded an important and well-deserved success in the fight for the Champions League places and shot themselves 3-0 (0-0) at Arsenal FC for the quarter-finals of the premier class at Real Madrid.
Joker Diogo Jota (64th / 82nd) and Mohamed Salah (68th) scored for the Klopp team.
It was the 93rd goal for Salah in his 150th Premier League game.

In the Emirates Stadium in London, the Klopp-Elf was completely superior.
But especially in the first half against the weak Gunners, Liverpool - as so often this season - struggled to close the goal.
Among others Roberto Firmino, Fabinho and Sadio Mané awarded promising positions for the master.
With 49 points Liverpool now occupies fifth place in the table.
However, Tottenham Hotspur could oust the Reds from fifth with a win at Newcastle United on Sunday.
