The final was played for the sake of rarity indoors and of course without an audience.

The Recover Hall in Uppsala was the venue for the final, which got off to a flying start.

After just over three minutes, Villa Lidköping, who had won the two meetings between the teams in the regular season, had taken the lead after Joel Broberg netted.

But AIK wanted to show that they will not give up so easily and three minutes later Sebastian Ytterell had equalized for Stockholmers.

After that, both teams slowed down a bit.

But in the 23rd minute of the match, Villa took the lead again.

Petter Björling came free in a situation where AIK waved for offside but no blow came and Björling could send in 2-1.

Will snatched away

In the middle of the second half, a real jerk came from Villa.

Just after AIK missed a cannon position, Christoffer Edlund put 3-2 assisted by Joel Broberg.

And just over a minute later, they extended the lead when Petter Björling, who was completely free on AIK's half of the field, received the ball in a situation that was suspected offside and sent in 4-2.

But the reduction came ten minutes later when Russian Alan Dzhusoev assisted Erik Pettersson who from no angle could shoot in 3-4 at all.

AIK took advantage of the expulsions

In the 70th minute, Joel Broberg went out for a violent blow and when Martin Andreasson also had to sit on the bench four minutes later for a blow on the skate, AIK made sure to take advantage of the chance.

Just a minute later it was acknowledged by Daniel Andersson.

The referee added five overtime minutes and just after AIK burned a cannon position, Villa Lidköping was awarded a penalty after Tim Persson was sent off.

But the referees changed their decision shortly afterwards when it was considered that the blow was on the ball.

The match then went to extra time.

Just at the beginning of the second half of extra time, there was a slightly longer break after Villas Christoffer Edlund got a rock-hard ball in his eye.

He was led by the ice and only minutes later he could see Martin Karlsson push home the Swedish Championship gold.
