Sampdoria frustrates Milan and paves the way for Inter to the Italian League title

Sampdoria dealt a blow to its host Milan and tied with him 1/1 today, Saturday, at the opening of the twenty-ninth stage of the Italian Football League.

Sampdoria advanced with a goal scored by veteran striker Fabio Quagliarella in the 57th minute, and two minutes later his colleague Adrian Silva was sent off after receiving a second warning.

Milan managed to exploit its numerical advantage and snatched the equalizer in the 87th minute by Jens Peter Haugi to escape defeat at home.

Sampdoria raised its tally to 36 points in tenth place and Milan raised its tally to 60 points in second place, five points behind leaders Inter Milan.

Inter Milan can strengthen its position in the lead and get close to grabbing the title if it beats its host Bologna in the scheduled match between the two teams today within the same stage, and Inter Milan has a postponed match left.
