IBF = International Boxing Federation Super Bantamweight Provisional Champion Ryosuke Iwasa faced a two-group unification match in Uzbekistan, but lost in a technical knockout and did not reach the unification title.
IBF Super Bantamweight Provisional Champion Iwasa faced a two-group unification match with local Uzbekistan Murodjon Akhmadariev, the unification champion of the IBF and WBA = World Boxing Association, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on the 3rd.
Iwasa also responded by taking steps such as the straight on the left against Akhmadariev who attacks mainly on the left and right hooks that jump in from the beginning.
However, a rush was struck shortly after the start of the fifth round, and the referee stopped the game when he was hit by a series of hooks a minute later.
Iwasa lost in the technical knockout in the 5th round and did not reach the unified title of the two groups.
Iwasa was on the IBF interim title in December 2019, but this was the first match in about one year and four months due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection.
