Chinanews, Chengdu, April 3 (Reporter He Shaoqing) The reporter learned from the 2021 Chengdu Double Heritage Marathon Organizing Committee on the 3rd that the 2021 Chengdu Double Heritage Marathon is planned to be held on April 24, and the event forecast has been officially launched.
As the only large-scale marathon event in southwest China this spring, the participating events include marathon, half marathon, and happy running, with a scale of 24,000.
Compared with the 40,000 entries in 2019, the 2021 Chengdu Double Marathon entries will be reduced by 40%.
Adhering to the concept of sports for all, the organizing committee adopts a first-come, first-served approach without setting a threshold for performance and drawing lots.

The 2021 Chengdu Double Heritage Marathon track will continue to be upgraded to three major "world heritage" tracks, passing Qingcheng Mountain-Dujiangyan World Cultural Heritage, World Natural Heritage-an important part of Sichuan Giant Panda Habitat and Dujiangyan Water Conservancy Project World Irrigation Project Heritage.
The track connects Qingcheng Mountain, Dujiangyan, Panda Valley, Guanxian Ancient City, Nanqiao, Yuzui, Jianfu Palace, Zhaogong Mountain and other places of interest. There are scenery everywhere beside the track.
While waiting for the restart in 2020, the Chengdu Double Heritage Marathon Organizing Committee took this opportunity to practice internal skills and launched a questionnaire survey for all double heritage runners.
This year's competition still uses separate events and time-sharing starts. The organizing committee divides the starting areas according to the best results of the marathon and half marathon of the full, half and happy running events in the events co-sponsored by the China Athletics Association.
This not only alleviates the phenomenon of starting congestion, but also provides a better environment for the contestants.

The organizing committee will randomly select 400 and 600 finishers in the marathon and half marathon respectively to avoid the lottery, and go straight to the 2021 Chengdu Marathon to participate in the corresponding events.
In addition, the organizing committee will provide 100 places for the 2021 World Marathon Grand Slam World Championships.
Runners will have the opportunity to get precious tickets to represent China on the world's top marathon track.
