Right-winger Nikoline Lundgren splashed in eight hits and became the top scorer when Skövde connected the grip in the match series which is played in the best of five.

The guests had 15-12 at half time and despite Aranäs - second in the Allsvenskan after directly promoted Kärra - struggled at the end, Skövde was able to hold off and win relatively comfortably in Kungsbacka sports hall.

The next match is played in Skövde on Tuesday.

The red-clad team finished second last in SHE after nine points in 22 matches and will qualify for their survival in the top league.
