The B-League for men's basketball will hold an extraordinary executive committee in response to a series of game cancellations due to the influence of the new coronavirus, and even if an alternative game cannot be held, the ranking of the league game will be ranked by the winning percentage. We have decided to play the postseason match in May as scheduled.

In the B League, 24 games have been canceled in the first division B1 and 41 games in the second division B2 so far due to the influence of the players being infected with the new coronavirus.

In response to this situation, the league held an extraordinary executive committee on the 1st to decide the future holding policy for this season.

According to it, for canceled matches, B1 will play alternative matches as much as possible by May 10th and B2 by May 3rd.

However, even if an alternative match cannot be held due to problems such as securing a venue and the number of digested matches differs depending on the club, the ranking of the league match will be determined by the winning percentage.

After that, we decided to hold the postseason B1 championship and B2 playoffs to determine the winning club as scheduled in May.

In addition, the league-unified PCR test for players and staff of all clubs will be changed from the current once every two weeks to once a week to increase the frequency.

Shinji Shimada, chairman of the B-League, said, "I asked each club to take proper measures against infection so that they could manage to reach the end of the season in a difficult situation. Increase the frequency of PCR tests as much as possible. I want to prevent the spread of the infection. "
