The quarter-final second leg of the Ladies' Champions League between Olympique Lyonnais and PSG, postponed at the request of Lyonnaise affected by a wave of coronavirus contaminations, will be played on Sunday April 18, according to UEFA.

Victorious 1-0 in the first leg, the five-time title holders could not play the meeting, initially scheduled for Wednesday, due to "six to seven cases of Covid-19" in the workforce, according to the last count Tuesday of the 'OL.

UEFA announced on Wednesday that the match would be rescheduled "April 18", at the OL stadium in Décines, and will specify the kick-off time later.

The European body and the two clubs "thank the French football federation for its close cooperation, flexibility and support" to avoid an outright cancellation of this meeting, the statement added.

What about the match against Le Havre in the league?

Given the rules adopted by UEFA in the face of the health crisis, a 0-3 forfeit defeat would have been inflicted on the team deemed "responsible for the non-holding of the match", resulting in the elimination of the Lyonnaises on the green carpet .

UEFA does not specify the impact of this rescheduling on the OL-Le Havre Women's Division 1 match, which is supposed to take place the day before the quarter-final second leg of C1.

Tuesday, OL president Jean-Michel Aulas also hoped that none of his players would be selected for the national team during the first half of April before returning to the club, fearing "a problem of recovery".
