CAN qualifiers, continuation and end.

The sixth and final day of the qualification campaign for the competition in Cameroon ends on Tuesday, March 30.

Mauritania, Burundi, Central African Republic (group E), Congo, Guinea-Bissau (group I), Ethiopia, Madagascar (group K), Benin and Sierra Leone (group L) are all eligible for one of the last five qualifying tickets.

• Ivory Coast - Ethiopia (15

h)

The Elephants almost trampled on Ethiopia's CAN dreams.

Serge Aurier's teammates immediately knocked out their opponents for the day by opening the scoring from a corner from the 3rd minute.

Franck Kessié doubled the bet shortly after from the penalty spot (19th).

Visitors then push to reduce the mark.

They finally succeeded by Getaneh Kebede (74th) but Jean Kouassi immediately punished the slight Ethiopian relaxation by getting rid of three defenders before scoring (76th).

The match ends in a strange way, less than ten minutes from its end with a feeling of discomfort on the part of the referee.

The end of the meeting is called and, despite the defeat, Ethiopia qualifies thanks to the draw of Madagascar (see below).

• Madagascar - Niger

(15

h)

Before the match, the equation was simple for Madagascar: we had to win and cross our fingers for Côte d'Ivoire to win against the Ethiopians.

If the Elephants fulfilled the second part of the contract, the Malagasy "Bareas" missed each other against Niger.

Too timid in the first period, they let themselves be dominated by a Niger who had already been eliminated.

In the second half, no doubt driven by the good news from the other field, the Malagasy set off to storm the Nigerian cages.

For 45 minutes, the "Zebus" push, try and pull.

Nothing worked, despite long stoppages granted by the referee.

Three years after the good story in Egypt, the Malagasy will not experience a second consecutive CAN final phase.

• Central African Republic - Mauritania (3

p.m.)
