The Tokyo Olympic Torch Relay will be handed over from Tochigi Prefecture to Gunma Prefecture, and will take you from 30 to 2 days to visit famous places such as Kusatsu Onsen and the World Heritage Tomioka Silk Mill.

In the 15 municipalities where relays are held, management volunteers and others are strengthening their calls to prevent the roadsides from becoming crowded.

The Tokyo Olympic torch relay, which started in Fukushima Prefecture on the 25th of this month, will be handed over from Tochigi Prefecture to Gunma Prefecture, and will start in Tatebayashi City after 8:30 am on the 30th.

In Gunma Prefecture, 173 runners will connect the torch in a two-day schedule of 30th and 31st, including 15 municipalities such as the Yubatake area of Kusatsu Onsen and the Tomioka Silk Mill, which is a World Heritage Site.

On the other hand, the Games Organizing Committee and the prefecture are calling for live broadcasts of the torch relay on the Internet as a countermeasure against the infection of the new coronavirus.

In addition, in each municipality, papers calling attention to prevent the roadsides from becoming crowded are put up on the course, and management volunteers and others are planning to strengthen the appeal to the spectators.

Furthermore, if the congestion that occurs along the roadside is not resolved, the policy is to give top priority to safety, such as "skipping" the location and proceeding to the next.
