The Mercedes driver won the first Grand Prix of the year in Bahrain.
He is thus ahead of the Dutchman Max Verstappen and the Finnish Valterri Bottas.
This is the 96th GP victory for the seven-time world champion.
He is still the boss: the seven-time British world champion Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) resisted the Dutchman Max Verstappen (Red Bull) to afford the first Formula 1 Grand Prix of the year, Sunday evening in Bahrain.
Starting 2nd on the grid behind Verstappen, the big favorite spoke about his experience to resist the Dutchman and win his 96th F1 GP.
The other Mercedes driver, the Finn Valtteri Bottas, completes a first podium of the season without surprise.
