Al Midfa: If the interest of Sharjah requires the departure of the board of directors, he will leave

Ali Al-Midfa: “Sharjah fans have their weight and influence, but things are not managed by social media.”

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sharjah Club, Ali Al-Midfa, confirmed that if the club’s interest requires the departure of the Board of Directors, it will leave, confirming its confidence in the team’s coach, Abdulaziz Al-Anbari.

He said in an interview with Sharjah Sports Channel: “There are sports programs that spread rumors and create things that do not exist. Whoever demands the return of the Chairman of the Sharjah Football Company Council, Abdullah Al-Ajlah, is now calling for his departure!”

"The public of Sharjah has its weight and influence, but things are not managed by social media," he added.

The results of Sharjah during the recent period have significantly decreased and the team is currently ranked third, after it was the leader of the Arab Gulf League teams since the beginning of the current football season.

Regarding the injuries suffered by a number of Sharjah players in the recent period, Al-Midfaa said: "There was a defect in the diagnosis of the players' injuries by the medical staff."

He continued: “The Sharjah team suffered within two months to 14 cases of (Corona) infection, and 10 different injuries,” stressing that “the club does not want to abandon the team’s players, Majid Sorour and Saif Rashid, but the temptations are many and other offers are higher.
