Aston Martin would have taken all precautions to prevent further spread of the virus.

Drivers Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll take to the track at 12.30 p.m. at the first free practice.

The team, which was still called Racing Point last season, was also plagued by the virus in 2020.

Both Stroll and Sergio Pérez had to miss a race after a positive test.

Four employees and team owner Lawrence Stroll also contracted the virus.

British teams were not vaccinated in Bahrain

Bahrain, which has already vaccinated much of the population against COVID-19, offered all drivers and employees in Formula 1 a corona vaccine upon arrival.

As far as is known, the Formula 1 organization and British teams did not use it and are waiting their turn in their own country.

Some team members of the Italian teams Ferrari and AlphaTauri would have taken up the offer.
