Professional baseball team Yakult has announced that one team staff member has been retested positive for the new coronavirus and another team staff member has been determined to be a close contact.

On the other hand, none of the athletes and leaders were judged to be close contacts because they were all negative.

The Yakult Swallows conducted a regular PCR test on the 23rd, and three team staff members received a positive test, so on the 24th, 113 people including athletes, leaders, and team staff were tested again.



As a result, a new male team staff member in his 40s received a positive test.



There are no symptoms such as fever and it is isolated at home.



The health center has determined that there are no close contacts with this staff member in the team.



Also, on the 23rd, when the health center investigated the contact status of three staff members who received a positive test, another team staff member was judged to be a close contact person, so they will be on standby for two weeks.



All the players and leaders were negative in the re-examination, and no one was judged to be a close contact, so we participated in the practice for the opening game with Hanshin on the 26th at Jingu Stadium as planned.
