The handball ladies' national team captain Tomas Axnér today presented the squad for the World Cup qualifier against Ukraine.

The squad is almost exactly the same as in the Olympic qualifiers last week.

This means that Jenny Carlson, who made her debut in the A national team last week, gets the chance again.

- It feels great.

I hoped it would happen again so it feels great, says Carlson to SVT Sport.

"Want to show what I can do"

Carlson, who turns 26 when the World Cup qualifier is played, is held in Danish Holstebro Handball on a daily basis.

For her, the World Cup qualifier in April will be a chance to establish herself in the squad to be able to take a place at the Olympics.

- I did not get too many minutes of play last time and I just want to show what I can do.

It is important for me who is participating for the first time and I am going into a completely new environment, she says.

Carlson, who has Kärra HF as his mother club, says that Tomas Axnér takes her on the same terms as the more established players.

- He has been quite clear that he sees me as one of the team and not one who is there to see and learn.

I will contribute with my qualities and what I do here in the league in Denmark

"She did well at the collection"

The national team captain sees a future in the national team for Jenny Carlson who has scored 115 goals in 26 games this season.

- She can take a playmaker role in the long run and she did well in the collection.

When she got warm in her clothes, it felt like there were things to build on there, Tomas Axnér said about Carlson when he presented the squad.
