The Egyptian Olympic Committee approves the temporary handball management committee

 The Board of Directors of the Egyptian Olympic Committee headed by Eng. Hisham Hatab issued Resolution No. 5 of 2021, which stipulated the approval of the appointment of the temporary committee to manage the Egyptian Handball Federation.

The former president of the Egyptian Handball Federation, Hisham Nasr, was arrested by a decision from the Competitions Committee of the International Federation of the Game against the background of his conviction for violating precautionary measures for the emerging corona virus, during the World Handball Championship that was held in Egypt last January.

The Olympic Committee stated in a statement published today, Wednesday, on its official page on the social networking site, Facebook, that the decision came after reviewing the constitution, the sports law, the statute of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, and the two letters of the International Handball Federation to suspend the president of the Egyptian Federation and to form a temporary committee to manage the federation until it convenes. The nearest ordinary general assembly, and based on the request of the International Federation of the Egyptian Olympic Committee to monitor the implementation of the decision of the Executive Committee of the International Federation, for guidance from the administrative and technical side.

The statement added that it was decided to form: "A committee to manage the Egyptian Handball Federation from the current members of the Federation's Board of Directors, with three members joining them."

The temporary committee for managing the work of the Egyptian Federation included Dr. Mohamed El-Sayed El-Amin, Chairman of the Committee, and accountant Nabil Ibrahim Mohamed Khashaba as Treasurer, with the membership of Moamen Safa Mohamed Sobhi, Mahmoud El-Adl Mohamed, Abdou Abdel-Wahab Mohamed, Amr Fathi Hassan El-Sayed, Asim Abdel-Tawab Al-Saadani and Ayman Salah Abdel-Hamid.

The Olympic Committee added in its statement: "The task of the committee is to run the Federation's business during the coming period, provided that the chairman and members of the committee have all the rights and duties vested in the Federation's Board of Directors. The session 2021/2024.
