Dembele fainted during Atletico Madrid training

French striker Moussa Dembele fainted on Tuesday during a training session for Spanish club leaders Atlético Madrid, as a result of low blood pressure, according to local media.

The image of the 24-year-old’s fall on the pitch spread to the Spanish media, amid panic among his colleagues, who surrounded him before the medical device intervened to aid him.

The former Celtic player regained consciousness and went to the ambulance himself to undergo a medical examination.

According to a source in the capital's club, the media reported that Dembele "suffered from a slight decrease in blood pressure and had to quit training. He is currently under surveillance, his condition is good and his vital signs are normal."

Dembele joined Atlético last January on loan from Lyon, and has so far played only two matches with Argentine coach Diego Simeone's team without scoring.
