Sharjah Club officially announced the selection of 23 players in the initial list of the first team to participate in the AFC Champions League 2021, as the list included goalkeepers Adel Al Hosani, Darwish Muhammad and Hammoud Hawij, along with Shaheen Abdul Rahman, Hamad Jassim, Salem Sultan, Abdullah Ghanem, Al Hassan Saleh, Ali Al Dhanhani, Khaled Al Dhanhani and Mohammed Abdul Basit, Saif Rashid, Muhammad Khalfan, Khaled Bawazir, Salem Saleh, Ahmed Sorour, Abdul Aziz Al Kaabi, Abdul Rahman Jumaa, Saeed Al Kaabi, Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Igor Kornado, Cayo Lucas and Shurkov.
She notes that the team's top scorer, Brazilian striker Wilton Soares, is out of the list.
Sharjah will play in Group D, whose matches are held in Sharjah, which includes alongside him the Iranian and Bakhtakor teams, and the qualifying team, either the Saudi unit or the Iraqi Air Force
The tournament will start with qualifying matches from 7 and 14 April, while the group stage matches will start from 14 to 30 of the same month.
