Worthington was known as a lyre player, both on and off the football field.

He appeared on the Swedish TV screens in SVT's "Tipsextra" look as often as he played for Huddersfield, Leicester and Bolton.

At the age of 31, the striker was then lured to Listerlandet on loan, and Worthington scored four goals in twelve matches during Mjällby's first season in the 1980 Allsvenskan.

"One of the club's greatest icons of all time, Frank Worthington has sadly passed away.

Rest in peace Frank, we are eternally grateful for what you have done for Mjällby AIF ", the Blekinge club writes on Twitter.

Frank Worthington played for over 20 clubs during his career and scored two goals in eight A-League matches for England.
