On Monday, it became official: Swedish national team striker Marcus Berg returns to IFK Gothenburg - after 14 years as a professional.

Today, Berg is part of the national team's gathering ahead of the World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and Kosovo.

However, the 34-year-old was not part of today's national team training.

He has not played a match in four weeks and has not been able to train fully - due to a back injury.

- Hopefully I can train tomorrow.

Then we'll see later how it will be on Thursday.

Berg and Ibrahimovic are not a foreign attacking pair in the national team - when they played together in the blue and yellow jersey last five years ago.

Now that Zlatan has made a comeback, there is a good chance that they will play together again.

- I think we would complement each other well if we get to play together, says Berg and continues:

- Me and Ola (Toivonen) played a lot together and then it was me who went more in depth.

Then when he left I became a little more target.

I feel like I master that game too.

Berg also says that he believes that the Swedish team will have a completely new dimension with the 39-year-old in the team.

- With Zlatan on the field, we get a match winner, an incredibly strong boxer.

If we can use it as a team, we have another dimension in our game.

It's something we have to use as a team and get the best out of him as well.
