The Swedish handball ladies had no worries about dismissing Argentina in the Olympic qualifiers.

After a crushing 34-21 on Saturday and 28-28 against Spain on Friday, Sweden takes one of the two Olympic places in the qualifying group in Spanish Llíria.

- It's good that it's done.

We make two good matches.

Yesterday (Friday) we were a bit disappointed, but Spain is a good team and we play equal.

But we give ourselves the opportunity to have it in our own hands, says leftist Jamina Roberts.

"Completely different atmosphere"

When Isabelle "Bella" Gulldén (15 championships, of which 3 Olympics) has now ended her national team career, Jamina Roberts is the blue and yellow player with the most championships on the merit list.

The Sävehof player has won twelve international championships - including two Olympics.

Championships that stand out in comparison with the handball WC and EC.

- It is a completely different atmosphere.

It's like a Sims game (video game) - you walk around and meet a lot of people from all over the world.

Everyone is there for the same thing, but 90 percent of the people have never been seen before.

It is a bit special, but very fun and it is an awesome experience, says the 30-year-old.

She was not present when the Swedish women's national team made its first Olympics in 2008 in Beijing and finished eighth.

On the other hand, Roberts was on the team in London in 2012 when Sweden became eleventh and in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 when it was seventh.

- We have not had any success in the Olympics before, so I hope we can do better than that in any case.

What does it take to succeed better?

- I have no answer to that.

But it still feels like we're on our way to something and I think that will show.

We have a good charge and hopefully we will be able to play together even better there.

We like to play with speed and I think we can get quite far on that.

"Another bubble"

However, this Olympics is likely to be different given the current corona pandemic.

In addition to all the restrictions that will prevail, the games will for the first time in history be without audiences from abroad.

- It's special.

It's already a bubble and there will probably be another bubble now in this Olympics.

It's mentally a different thing than it usually is when you go to a championship, says Roberts.
