Can we actually maintain our fitness with increasing age and in some cases even improve it?

Science explains exactly that. But the feedback I get from working with many age group athletes also confirms this finding.

Injuries and age-related complaints are of course not always avoidable.

Ultimately, we cannot circumvent our nature.

But: We can postpone the gradual decline for years, if not decades, in order to be fit on the road at 55, 60, 65 and far beyond.

But how is that supposed to work?

What adjustments are there for running beyond fifty?

In this column I would like to mainly focus on examples and scientific backgrounds and thus on some mental aids.
