Italian Hofer won the sprint at the KM biathlon stage in Ostersund, Garanichev - 11th

Hofer made no mistakes and finished in 22 minutes 27.1 seconds.

The second was Swede Sebastian Samuelsson, four seconds back.

The top three was closed by the Norwegian Tarja Boe (+14.4).

Of the Russians, Evgeny Garanichev performed best of all, occupying the 11th position.
