Kemar Roofe was on the field for just six minutes.

His team were 1-0 down and threatened to fail in the second round of the Europa League to Slavia Prague.

Perhaps that is precisely why the Glasgow Rangers joker acted completely over-motivated and negligent.

The striker pursued a long-struck cross from his own half with all his effort and did not back off when visiting goalkeeper Ondrej Kolar ran out of his goal and tried to clear the ball with his head.

With a murderous tackle, Roofe jumped full in the face of the opponent and hit him with all his studs on the right shoe.

While referee Orel Grinfeld (Israel) immediately put the Rangers striker off the field, Kolar, who was bleeding heavily, had to be treated.

After several minutes of care, he was finally taken from the field on a stretcher in a daze.

For him, the only 18-year-old youngster Matyas Vagner had to play in his first professional appearance.

He did a good job.

After another goal to 2-0, Prague moved into the quarter-finals.

The first leg was 1: 1.

Kolar was taken to the hospital and had to be sewn with ten stitches.

But that's not all.

Because afterwards there were also debates about a possible incident of racism on the field.

"It's sick, terrible"

Glasgow coach Steven Gerrard asked Uefa to intervene and investigate the incident.

"It's sick, terrible," said the 40-year-old former England international.

According to Gerrard, professional Glen Kamara was racially insulted by Prague's player Ondrej Kudela in the closing stages of the game late on Thursday evening.

"Some things are bigger than football," said the noticeably shaken Gerrard after the 2-0 defeat in Glasgow.

"Now the thing is with Uefa, and I just hope it won't be swept under the rug."

Gerrard emphasized that his player was angry, he was angry himself.

He did not want to repeat the statements that Kudela had whispered in the ear of the Black Kamara.

Kamara, the Finnish international, reacted angrily on the pitch.

"I asked him, do you want to leave or do you want to continue playing," said Gerrard.

He has known the player for two and a half years, but has never seen him like that.

Gerrard also stressed that those in charge at Slavia Prague would know why Kamara reacted this way, but "your player will say no, the club will say no".

Slavia then published a statement on the allegations against Kudela and denied them.

It was said to be disgusting allegations.

Kudela said "after one of the brutal fouls" to a Rangers player: "You fucking guy".

It happened in the emotion, "but I absolutely deny that there was anything racist in the words," said Kudela in the statement.
