Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Muhammad Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Foundation for Women’s Sports, approved the foundation’s strategic plan, which includes many goals that Her Highness aspires to achieve, including: Serving the sports sector in all its aspects, and developing women's sport in the country in general. And the emirate in particular, highlighting the role of Emirati women in sports in international forums, reaching out to regional and global competitions, and encouraging them to participate in various sports.

In this context, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi said: “We have seen, over the past years, an impressive development in the participation of women in the sports field and strengthening their presence in it locally and regionally. A clear strategy and accurate plans, from which we have seen a deliberate investment in the talents of our girls and women who have honored the Emirate of Sharjah and the UAE in all forums.

The next stage of the institution, with a strategy that keeps pace with the development of the sports sector, will be a building block for new achievements that we celebrate. The sports sector is one of the most important societal and life sectors, on which health depends, and building physical and mental skills for the individual and society ».

A press release said: “The new goals seek to empower national competencies and develop human capital in the field of women's sport, while raising new qualified generations of women leaders in the sports field, in cooperation with the competent federal authority and international institutions, and working to develop and attract cadres, in addition to Consolidating sports culture and community awareness of its importance, enhancing women's practice of sports, and creating a stimulating sports environment that contributes to the development of women's sport.
