Zidane clarifies Hazard's position on participating with Real Madrid against Elche and Atlanta

Real Madrid coach, the third Spanish soccer league, French Zinedine Zidane confirmed that he has full confidence that the Belgian international Eden Hazard "will do a very good job" upon his return to the stadiums, recovering from injuries that hinder his participation with the royal club.

Hazard has missed his team’s last seven matches due to a thigh injury, but is likely to wear the white shirt, similar to captain Sergio Ramos in front of Elche, on Saturday, in the 27th stage of La Liga.

This return will be an additional dose of confidence for the royal club before hosting the Italian club Atalanta in the second leg of the Champions League final price next week (Real won 1-0 in the first leg).

Zidane said at the press conference on the eve of hosting Elche at the "Alfredo Di Stefano" stadium: "We are happy to take back Sergio and Eden tomorrow. The idea is to get some minutes, and later we will see."

Hazard arrived at the "Santiago Bernabeu" stadium from Chelsea for 100 million euros in July 2019, but the curse of injuries followed the Belgian, who only played nine basic matches this season, and he missed a match due to his infection with the Corona virus.

The French coach added, "He appears in good physical and mental condition. He has overcome all these injuries, all these pain, and now he appears in good condition, for this reason he is with us and I hope that he can play."

And he added, "He suffered long injuries, something he had not previously tested, but he contracted for a long time and I think that when he recovers, he will be wonderful. I am sure of this."

The former Juventus and Real Madrid star indicated the difficulty when "the player suffers an injury and is not 100% fit, but I am sure he will do a great job here."

Zidane mentioned the return of the captain of the team, Ramos, who will be 35 at the end of this month, and his return to the stadiums after undergoing knee surgery last February.

The international defender has not played since January 14, knowing that his contract expires at the end of the current season.

"I don't know what will happen. What we want Sergio to stay here, and this is what I can say as a coach because he is an important player for us," Zidane said.

Zidane's statement comes in the context of what Ramos said Thursday that "there is no news" about the renewal of his contract, speaking of his desire to play until the age of 40.
