In 2019, former professional baseball player Yeo-sang Lee was sentenced to jail for administering banned drugs to youth players he was teaching.

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, who was investigating Yeo-Sang Lee, has also detected a situation where a former professional baseball player was also involved.

Song Seung-jun and retired Player A received a banned drug from Yeo-Sang Lee in 2017.

The Korea Anti-Doping Committee, KADA, which received the results of the investigation by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, informed the KBO of Mr. A's disciplinary action yesterday (10th), and Song Seung-jun is known to be under investigation.

Song Seung-joon issued a statement and explained that he received the drug from Yeo-Sang Lee and explained that it was a stem cell nutrient, but he learned that it was a banned drug through a trainer and immediately returned it.

Retired Player A is also denying all charges.

I thought it was a stem cell nutrient and purchased it for 16 million won, but I belatedly confirmed that it was a banned drug, returned it to Yeo-sang Lee, and started the appeal process saying that I did not administer it.

Both athletes are reported to have received negative tests in a doping test conducted in the 2017 season when they were suspicious of drug purchases.

'Lee Yeo-Sang's drug ripple' again is straining professional baseball, which is about to open.
