Administrative crisis threatening the Saudi Al-Nasr Board of Directors

Today, a news report said that the management of the Al-Nasr Saudi Football Club, headed by Safwan Al-Swaiket, has now requested to hold a general assembly in order to add new members to the board of directors.

The Saudi Al-Riyadiah newspaper stated that the Al-Nasr administration is seeking to save the current council, after three of the council’s members, Salman Al-Khalafi, Fahd Al-Tayyar and Suhail Al-Qasim, submitted their resignation, while the administration did not accept that.

The same newspaper added that Al-Nasr management is trying to add new members to the board of directors, most notably Moataz Al-Mazrou and Nawaf Al-Nahari, in order to compensate for the numerical shortage in the board of directors.

Al-Riyadiah stated that Article 18 of the Saudi Sports Clubs Regulations stipulates that the number in the board of directors shall not be less than five as a minimum and nine as a maximum.

She said that with the number of members of any council reaching less than the minimum, this means that the council will be dissolved by force of law.

Al-Nasr occupies seventh place with 30 points in the Saudi League standings.
