Matthijs de Ligt returned to the training field at Juventus on Monday.

The 21-year-old defender, who is recovering from an injury to his leg, is still a question mark for Tuesday's important Champions League game against FC Porto.

Basic player De Ligt sustained his injury last week during the warm-up for the league match against Spezia.

Research showed that the injury was not too bad, although the former Ajax player was still missing against Lazio last weekend.

During Monday's training, De Ligt only participated in the warm-up with a wrapped left lower leg.

Trainer Andrea Pirlo was then unable to say at his press conference whether the 21-time international of Orange can be used against Porto.

"Except for Matthijs, everyone took part in the entire training, even though not everyone is 100 percent fit yet. It was the first time that I had everyone together," Pirlo told the journalists.

It is good news for 41-year-old Pirlo that he has an almost fit selection, as Juventus must repair the damage suffered in Portugal last month against Porto.

The first game in the eighth finals was lost 2-1.

The match between Juventus and Porto starts on Tuesday at 9 p.m.

At the same time, the kick-off is at Borussia Dortmund-Sevilla.

Dortmund won the first game of the diptych 2-3.
