Already after 17 minutes of play, Luleå had gone up to 3-0 when Michelle Cava pushed the puck into goal behind the home goalkeeper Ida Boman.

Djurgården needed oxygen quickly to be able to have any chance of giving Luleå a match.

You also got it already after 17 seconds in the middle of the period, when Sarah Bujold shot 1-3 in powerplay.

But that hope was quickly extinguished after an eventful sequence.

The goalkeeper assisted

At first Luleå had 4-1 inside through Viivi Vainicka, but no goal was scored but instead Djurgården got an expulsion.

But the goal came retroactively.

In powerplay, Michelle Cava scored her second goal when she dribbled past a Djurgårdsback and put the puck deliciously in goal.

Incidentally assisted by goalie Sara Grahn.

That was where the match was actually decided.

Before the second period was over, Luleå had also made it 5-1.

In the third and final period, Luleå scored two more goals and took a grip on the match series - which continues tomorrow with semi-final two also in Stockholm.
